JENNIFER'S DIARY
With such thoughts in mind, was rather taken with a press release
about a new business book from John Wiley, Customers are People.
It says customers (that's you and me) don't want "relationships",
we simply want to be able to buy what we need and be treated with
a bit of civility.
It says businesses are largely wasting the £10 million a year
spent on customer relationship management, which, one would
imagine, probably includes those people who ring up while you are
having supper to ask if you are satisfied with the service they
did on your car.
Well, you were, until that moment.
Is there anything worse than sensing that your naked consumerism
has been spotted.
