Customer Information Mastery Data Evaluator (CIMDE)
The CIMDE Data Evaluator is a comprehensive
assessment of data quality, data content and data usage
available today. It has been specifically designed to allow the
examination of an organization’s existing customer data assets
to answer four fundamental questions:
- What data are available (against a
check-list of 60 defined data types)?
- How good is data quality (measured
across 10 defined data quality dimensions)?
- How are data being used (or not being
used) against a checklist of over 80 defined data usage
types? Given content, quality and usage,
- How might the organization gain more
value from its customer information related assets?

The CIMDE Data Evaluator flags real
areas of strength and weakness, and identifies those gaps that
must be filled before significant progress can be made. It also
highlights data that are not being used or are not used to good
effect and are therefore an unnecessary drain on organizational
resources. The CIMDE Data Evaluator will identify data usages
that are not being deployed even though best practice indicates
that these can add significant benefits to the business. This
usage checklist drives what fields of data the customer record
must include and when they are required.
