The structure of the organization can inhibit
a firm’s ability to transform its information legacy.
Most
firms came to the realization that the organizational aspects of
information held back their efforts to restructure their basic
form and function. Most of the firms observed that the
current organizational structure of their firm was well suited for
mass-market approaches to information application but not for
atomic information applications.
Such acknowledgements hold the fundamental changes the
firms have to make in order to become viable competitors in the
future. |
